Privacy Policy — mintOps

Last updated: October 14, 2026

(주)민트기술 Mintech.kr (“we”, “us”) operates the application mintOps for iPhone, iPad and Mac (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. We value your privacy, and our core principle is that we do not collect your data.

1. Information We Collect

mintOps does not collect personally identifiable information, and no account or sign-in is required to use the App. The only information sent to servers we operate is for agent push notifications on iPhone and iPad (section 4), limited to the device details needed to deliver them.

2. On-Device Storage

  • Saved connection details (host, port, username) and app settings are stored only on your device.
  • Passwords, SSH private keys and Tailcat identity keys are kept in your device’s Keychain and never leave it. With SSH agent forwarding on, private keys still stay on the device; only the signing happens there.
  • Files the file viewer downloads from your server are cached temporarily and deleted when the session ends.
  • We do not collect, access, or store any of this data.

3. Communication With Your Servers

The App connects over SSH to servers you enter yourself. Commands, terminal output and file contents travel only between your device and that server; none of it passes through us. Screen sharing with your Mac also runs directly between your device and your Mac.

With a Tailcat connection, traffic runs inside a WireGuard tunnel. While your device and the server cannot reach each other directly, a DERP relay operated by Tailscale may forward the encrypted packets. The relay cannot read them, and we neither operate relays nor have access to that traffic. Tailscale’s terms of service and privacy policy apply to Tailcat’s operation.

4. Agent Push Notifications (iPhone and iPad)

To tell you when a coding agent on a herdr server asks a question or finishes, the App uses a notification relay operated by us (relay.mintech.kr). The feature is on by default and can be turned off in the App’s settings or per connection (“Agent notifications”). On the Mac, notifications are shown locally and the relay is not used.

  • What happens when it is on: when you connect to a server with herdr, the App installs a notification script and a settings file in your account on that server (python3 is needed) and registers that server and this device with the relay.
  • What the relay keeps: the device’s push token (issued by the Apple Push Notification service), device name, platform, app version, time zone, the kinds of notifications to receive, a daily count of notifications, and a random identifier and credentials created for each server.
  • What it passes on without keeping: the content of a notification (the agent’s name, the host, workspace and tab names you gave them, and a pane identifier). It goes to your device through the Apple Push Notification service and is not stored on the relay.
  • Abuse prevention: the requesting IP address is used for rate limits and blocking. Block records are deleted 90 days after the last violation.
  • Retention: turning notifications off deletes that device’s registration. Push tokens that Apple reports as invalid are deleted at once, server registrations unused for 180 days are deleted automatically, and daily counts are deleted after two days.

5. iCloud (My Macs and Server Mode)

Server Mode on the Mac and “My Macs” on iPhone and iPad exchange the following through your own iCloud (key-value storage): the Mac’s name, Tailcat address and public key, the Mac’s user name and SSH port, whether Remote Login is on, the public keys of devices allowed to connect, each device’s name and identity key name and public key, and, when screen sharing is on, its port and a random password the App creates. This information is stored in your iCloud account, shared only among devices on that account, and governed by Apple’s iCloud terms. We have no access to it.

6. Third Parties, Analytics, and Advertising

  • We do not sell or share your information with third parties. Push notifications are delivered through the Apple Push Notification service, and the relay is protected by Cloudflare.
  • The App contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
  • We do not use any third-party SDKs that collect data.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Data on your device is removed when you delete a connection or key within the App, or delete the App itself.
  • Information on the relay is deleted on the schedule in section 4; to have it deleted sooner, contact us below.
  • Information in iCloud is removed when you turn iCloud sync off in the App (what this device published) or delete a key (that key’s entry), and can also be managed in your iCloud account settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

mintOps does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Security

All communication with your servers is encrypted with SSH, and Tailcat connections are additionally encrypted with WireGuard. Communication with the relay is encrypted with HTTPS. Secrets are stored only in the device Keychain.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in law or in the App. Changes will be announced on this page.

  • October 14, 2026: added agent push notifications (section 4) and iCloud (section 5).
